App a Day · A daily edition for builders

One fresh app idea every morning.

A fresh brief lands before coffee — problem, target user, monetization, MVP scope, and the honest risks. Open it when the spark hits, paste it into your coding agent, and turn it into something real.

The App a Day mascot — a tear-off day sheet with a face — waving hello.

How it works

A daily idea, end to end.

No fluff, no “Top 10 Tools” listicles. One idea, fully thought through, ready to build.

1

Pick your categories.

Choose what you want shipped: productivity, finance, games, ten in total. You can change them any time.

2

Read it over coffee.

Every morning a brief lands: one on the Monthly plan, one per chosen category on Pro. Each one has the problem, the user, the money, the risks, and the MVP scope.

3

Paste it into Claude Code.

Tap Copy prompt and the whole brief, wrapped in a build instruction, lands on your clipboard. Paste, build, ship.

Plans

Two ways to read App a Day.

Both plans unlock the same briefs, in the same Broadsheet format. They differ only in how many arrive in your inbox each morning.

  • Up to 10 categories — switch any time
  • 3-day free trial, then €9.99/month

A sample idea

What lands in your inbox.

Every idea is the same shape: pitched tight, scoped honest, ready to build.

TipJar — a Stripe-backed gratuity jar for service workers.

A barber, a barista, a tour guide. They hate asking for tips. Their customers want to leave one but never have the right app. TipJar is one QR code on the counter; it opens a checkout that takes twenty seconds, no signup.

Target user
Independent service workers in the US/EU who accept cash tips today and lose 60–80% of card-carrying customers.
Money
1.5% + 30¢ per transaction, Stripe Connect Standard for split payouts. Free to set up; no monthly fee.
MVP scope
One worker onboarding flow, one QR code, one payment sheet, one weekly payout view. iOS first; Android when payments are stable.
Risks
Stripe onboarding friction for sole proprietors. Disputes when the tipper forgets. Plan around both before launch.

A narrator, not a companion.

FAQ

Frequently asked.

Who is this for?

Anyone who loves building and wants a steady stream of ideas worth shipping. Open the brief whenever the mood strikes — morning coffee, late-night spark, or a quiet Sunday — and turn it into something real.

How many ideas do I get?

It depends on your plan. Monthly subscribers get one idea per day, picked at random from the categories they've switched on — any flavour, any morning. Pro (yearly) subscribers get one idea per category per day: switch on five categories and five briefs land, switch on all ten and ten do. Both plans deliver at the time you pick in Settings.

How long are the ideas?

Long enough to actually build from. Each brief has a problem, a target user, a money model, an MVP scope, and a list of risks — usually 400 to 600 words.

Where does the content come from?

Every brief is researched and shaped with care, then reviewed against the categories you choose. Nothing is published without a thoughtful pass.

How much does it cost?

Two plans, both with a 3-day free trial. Monthly is €9.99/month after your trial. Pro (yearly) is €99.99/year after your trial — about two months free versus paying month-to-month. Prices are billed by the App Store or Google Play in your local currency at the equivalent rate.

Can I cancel?

Any time, in your phone’s subscription settings. The app never makes you email support to leave.
